ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR

The organizational behavior it's a very important aspect within the organizations. It is influenced by many aspects as is shown in the figures below:

  1. It's influenced by interdisciplinary issues.
  2. it's influenced by the human behavior that at the same time this last one is influenced by two perspectives.

  3. It's influenced by external and internal factors of the organization
    TASK #2:

Individualism vs collectivis, is directly related with the space or personal space; this means the space around a person which make feel he or che safe and comfortable.

For example let's analyze Japanese and Colombian Culture:

Japan according to Hofstede has a score of 46 in the individualism dimension, this means that is over the media average and the culture tends to be individualistic. They don't tend to be comfortable in collectivistic spaces.

In the other hand, Colombia has a score of 13, which means that it has a collectivistic culturec culture where kisses, hugs, and touching the other person is common. Explained this it can be supposed that de Colombians personal space is narrow than the Japanese's one.

When we put both cultures in a business meeting, the tendency of the collectivistic Colombian culture can make feel unsafe and embarrased a Japanese person. This also can affect the outcome of the meeting.
